California’s Victor Viramontes, who Jim Harbaugh compared to the 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick, announced Monday evening on Twitter that he was committing to Michigan.

Viramontes, who could play multiple positions at the next level QB/RB/LB, is ranked as the No. 48 athlete in the 2016 class. The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder is Michigan’s eighth commit in 15 days so far through June and #14 for the 2016 class. Viramontes camped with the Michigan staff at their Summer Swarm Tour in Fresno, California. Viramontes was rated as the No. 1 QB performer at the Rivals 5-star challenge in Baltimore earlier this month.
