On Thursday night, the Carolina Hurricanes faced off with the Buffalo Sabres, a matchup between the 2nd and 3rd worst teams in the NHL. Now it was below freezing in Raleigh, so you may be temped to blame the poor attendance on the weather, but I think a bad matchup on a week night is more likely the reason.
The announced attendance of 9,781 is awfully generous.
