Tyrone Wheatley, the former Michigan running back, is reportedly interviewing today for a position on Jim Harbaugh’s staff, according to Sam Webb. Wheatley, currently fifth on UofM’s all-time rushing list (4,178 yards), was previously the running back coach for the Buffalo Bills’.

Wheatley’s son, Tyrone Wheatley Jr., is a 4-star TE/DE that could potentially follow his dad to Ann Arbor. Wheatley would likely replace Fred Jackson, who has been Michigan’s running back coach since 1992, but recently retired.
