On the night that Ottawa Senators legend Daniel Alfredsson retired, Senators captain Erik Karlsson desperately wanted to get his mentor a win. Karlsson hit the post late against the New York Islanders and his reaction was perfect. It may not have counted anyways because it appears the clock ran out, but he wouldn’t have known that at the time. If you’re a Sens fan you have to love seeing that competitive spirit out of your captain.
