Tim Thomas makes Save of the Year candidate on his butt

Florida Panthers goalie Tim Thomas submitted his candidate for Save of the Year on Thursday night with this beauty stop on Mike Green. The Washington Capitals defenseman came out of the penalty box and had a breakaway. Thomas stumbled when he was backing into his net, but managed to lean over and snag Green’s shot with his glove; it was a simply fantastic save. Now if only Thomas would stop wearing that god awful goalie mask.
