Montreal Canadiens defenseman Jarred Tinordi was in the penalty box, sending the Vancouver Canucks on their second power play of the game. Canadiens forward Lars Eller cleared the puck into the Canucks zone, where goalie Roberto Luongo stopped the puck and set it up for his defenseman Jason Garrison. Garrison then moved the puck to Dan Hamhuis who inexplicably lost control of the puck and it trickled out front. Luongo had his back turned to the play, because his job was essentially done, and managed to knock the puck into his own net while setting up. How something like this could happen I will never know, but it gave the Canadiens a 2-1 lead and they went on to win 4-1.
