WGN Sports Anchor Pat Tomasulo works in Chicago and decided to prank some Bostonians. Tomasulo and his producer dressed up as keepers of the cup and carried around a case that said Stanley Cup on it. Plenty of Boston citizens fell for the prank and wanted to take pictures with the case.
Everyone in this video that fell for the prank outed themselves as casual hockey fans at best, because diehard fans know that Phil Pritchard is always with the cup and that the case is black with wheels. Not only that, but the cup wouldn’t just get randomly dropped by its handlers.
If you see anything that doesn’t look like this, don’t get duped.
