Evgeni Malkin scores a goal of the year candidate against Tampa Bay Lightning
Published
After he abused the Tampa Bay Lightning with the goal of the year last season, Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Evgeni Malkin decided that his first game back since suffering a concussion was the right time to do it again. Unfortunately for Tampa Bay, they seem to not have learned their lesson about giving Malkin the puck in space. Lightning defenseman Eric Brewer dove to try and stop him, while Matt Carle tried to cut him off, both of them were unsuccessful as Malkin pulled the puck to the inside, jumped over Brewer’s stick and then buried it past Anders Lindback. Hopefully this doesn’t happen a third time, but you never know with Malkin; he is simply amazing.
