The Wolverines are set to host the top uncommitted 2025 recruit in Ty Haywood this upcoming weekend. A Denton, Texas product, Haywood, a current Alabama commit who did not sign during the early period, will be one to watch. Via On3’s Steve Wiltfong:
As Chad Simmons reported five-star offensive tackle and Alabama commit Ty Haywood is expected on his official visit to Michigan this weekend. The Wolverines are battling Florida State and Texas Tech. There’s been some momentum for the Maize and Blue going back to the end of the fall but the lines of communication have been steady with the Seminoles and Red Raiders. He already took an official to FSU in the past and Texas Tech has made a big push. Sherrone Moore, Grant Newsome and Sean Magee were all down to visit with Haywood this past week. On3 heard that went well.
Moore and some other Michigan coaches were out to see Haywood recently and he has since decommitted:
