Insider Predicts Where He Expects Bryce Underwood To End Up, Thinks Michigan Lands Recent Decommit

The Wolverines are going all-in on flipping LSU five-star QB pledge Bryce Underwood. The top player in the 2025 class, who hails from 30-minutes from Ann Arbor, originally picked LSU over Michigan. Steve Wiltfong, an insider of On3, doesn’t have too much confidence in him ending up in Ann Arbor. Here’s what he wrote in latest prediction article:

QB Bryce Underwood – LSU commit
The On3 Industry’s No. 1 ranked signal-caller and No. 1 prospect overall Bryce Underwood has been a verbal to LSU since January 6 and will take his official to Baton Rouge this weekend for the Alabama game.

Nothing regarding the communication between Underwood, the Tigers coaching staff and his fellow commits in this class ranked No. 3 nationally has changed.

However talks between the Underwood camp and Michigan have intensified down the stretch of the process. The Wolverines don’t have a quarterback committed in the 2025 cycle following the decommitment of On300 recruit Carter Smith. They’re hoping a final push with Underwood can change that.

“We’ll be fine,” Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore said with a smile during a press conference on Monday when asked about not having a signal-caller in the class.

That could mean a number of things from taking a signal-caller from the transfer portal to landing a prospect not named Underwood. But I do believe Michigan is pouring a lot into this last run.

Meanwhile, Underwood will be flanked by many family members for this official visit. He loves LSU, the way they develop quarterbacks, the vibe around the program and school, his relationship with Joe Sloan and the staff and the bond formed with the other commits. I think Michigan is still climbing uphill with Underwood.

Two other notable Michigan-related predictions from Wiltfong:

CB Graceson Littleton
Michigan had the former Clemson commit on campus over the weekend and they have the momentum in the recruitment. Texas gets a swing this weekend and could change the pulse.
Calling My Shot: Michigan
Confidence Level: Low

QB Carter Smith
The On3 Industry’s No. 18 quarterback and No. 200 quarterback put himself back on the market decommitting from Michigan last week.

Wisconsin is the one I have my eye on with an official visit slated for next weekend. However, if FSU loses Jones I would expect the Seminoles to go all in on Smith.

Other programs that have been in contact include Oregon, UCF, Louisville, Utah and West Virginia.
