The war of words between Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia continues. During the European Tour’s awards dinner on Tuesday, Garcia was asked if he’d have Tiger over for dinner during the 2013 U.S. Open. Garcia’s response was as follows, “We will have him round every night. We will serve fried chicken.”
Tiger took to his Twitter account to voice his displeasure with Garcia’s racist remarks.
The comment that was made wasn’t silly. It was wrong, hurtful and clearly inappropriate…

I’m confident that there is real regret that the remark was made.

The Players ended nearly two weeks ago and it’s long past time to move on and talk about golf.

Garcia released this apology after making the statement, “I apologize for any offence that may have been caused by my comment on stage during The European Tour Players’ Awards dinner. I answered a question that was clearly made towards me as a joke with a silly remark, but in no way was the comment meant in a racist manner.”
Even with the apology, this feud has turned ugly.
