Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Johnson was arrested Saturday night. The charges were for domestic violence after he reportedly head butted his wife.

According to a Sun Sentinel report, “Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Johnson was arrested Saturday night for domestic violence, according to Davie Police Department captain Dale Engle.
When cops came on the scene Lazado, a star in VH1’s Basketball Wive’s Reality series, had lacerations on her forehead, and Johnson was arrested.”

Blacksportsonline reports that Johnson was arrested after play fighting in the car with his wife Evelyn Lazado. The fight started over a receipt for a box of condoms and Lazado had enough evidence to warrant an arrest.

Johnson was arrested in college for a domestic dispute but has had a clean record since entering the NFL in 2001.
Let’s hope we don’t see this drama on HBO’s Hard Knocks. Chad did warn us on the first episode of the season that he was going to get arrested (3:42).
