Brandon Graham gained 20 lbs eating Philly Cheesesteaks

Former Michigan football player and current Philadelphia Eagles defensive end, Brandon Graham, has added a bit of weight to his frame since coming down with an injury.

Graham, who was the Eagles 2010 1st round pick, has been nursing a torn ACL since last December. As a result, Graham has been in recovery mode, not doing a lot of exercise or lifting, and his weight has jumped from 270 to 290 pounds.

According to Phillysports.com, the reason behind his weight gain is the fact he has been eating a lot of cheesesteaks.

“You know what got me real big? The Philly cheesesteaks,” said Graham, who lives within crutching distance from Jim’s Steaks, at 4th and South Streets. “Jim’s? That’s all I eat.”

How many cheesesteaks? “One. A whole one. Now, I eat a half one. Then I’ll save it,” Graham said. “That’s my big thing: I can’t save anything. When I cook something, I want to eat it all right there.”

On Monday, Graham was eligible to come on the Eagles Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, meaning “he has a 21 day window to return or he will be relegated to Injured Reserve.”

If Graham doesn’t stay away from Philly’s finest food, he may be best suited for making the move to defensive tackle and keep packing on the pounds.

Really, can you blame him?
